Messe Hamburg is one of Germany’s leading exhibition and convention venues. With multiple exhibition halls and high visitor traffic during international trade shows, the venue requires a robust and flexible audio management system that can adapt to changing operational needs during events.
The Challenge
Trade fairs demand a highly responsive and user-friendly audio system capable of addressing thousands of attendees in real time. Messe Hamburg needed a solution that would allow staff to control announcements quickly and visually across various halls and zones.
The system needed to be scalable and reliable—capable of handling both scheduled and on-the-fly announcements, without requiring deep technical knowledge from the operators.
Solution
Sittig Technologies deployed its PAXGuide Audio Management Platform, customized for Messe Hamburg’s operational and technical requirements. Central to the system is the PAXcallpoint web application, featuring a multi-layer graphical map interface that gives operators full control over announcements via a modern, browser-based UI. This enables staff to target specific halls or areas with ease, view announcement status at a glance, and manage scheduling for recurring or pre-planned messages.
The system supports the upload and playback of audio files, as well as the creation of announcement sequences using built-in schedulers. To ensure seamless integration with the venue’s audio infrastructure, PAXGuide interfaces natively with the Dynacord Promatrix 9000 PA system.
Additionally, PAXModular IP Paging Stations were installed to support high-quality manual announcements from control points throughout the venue.
The result is a scalable, event-ready platform that enhances communication, reduces operational effort, and elevates the visitor experience during every event.
