New York/ Chicago/ Frankfurt, August 26, 2026 – JFK Millennium Partners (JMP), the company selected by the Port Authority of New York & New Jersey to build and operate John F. Kennedy International Airport's new world-class Terminal 6 (T6), and Sittig Technologies today announced that Sittig Technologies' PAXGuide platform was selected to provide automated, centralized passenger announcements in the new terminal, setting the standard for how airports communicate with their passengers.
A Consistent, Scalable Communication Framework
The implementation establishes a consistent and scalable communication framework throughout Terminal 6. The platform’s ‘PAXcallpoint’ technology will serve as the central announcement management solution, while ‘PAXgate’ will enable fully automated boarding announcements at all gates within the terminal.
JFK T6 will also be the first airport in the world to make use of a new integration between PAXgate and AtlasIED touch mic stations. The integration brings PAXgate's full data-driven background processes and AI-powered text-to-speech capabilities directly to the mic station, a device gate agents have relied on for decades. For situations requiring more control and flexibility, agents can additionally access the PAXgate web application directly from the gate workstation. Both options are always available at the gate, side by side. The result is fewer errors, faster workflows, and a consistent passenger experience across every gate.
A key element of the solution is the use of advanced text-to-speech technology, allowing announcements to be delivered in 12 languages. With PAXGuide, JFK T6 will open with a future-ready foundation for automated, data-driven passenger communication in one of the world's most prominent aviation hubs.

“JFK Terminal 6 sets a new benchmark for the airport experience in North America, and we are proud that PAXGuide will be part of that from day one. Passengers will benefit from clear, consistent announcements in multiple languages across every touchpoint in the terminal, delivered automatically, in real time, and without compromise. That is the standard we build for,” said Johannes Sittig, CEO, U.S. Sittig Technologies.
“Sittig’s PAXGuide platform coupled with touch mic stations at every gate will help us deliver a state-of-the-art, digital-first T6 guest experience,” said Edward D’Angelo, Vice President, Technology – JFK Millennium Partners. “This means clear and standardized communication for our diverse international passenger base while reducing the need for manual interventions,” D’Angelo added.
Strong Partnership Behind the Deployment
The project is being realized in close cooperation with two key partners:
AtlasIED is the system manufacturer for the terminal Public Address infrastructure, a GCK system based on Dante audio network, to which PAXGuide is directly interfaced. The deep integration between PAXGuide and GCK ensures that automated and manual announcements will be delivered seamlessly across the terminal's entire audio environment.
MKJ Communications is the systems integrator chosen to deliver the Public Address system solution, responsible for installation and ongoing support of the Public Address system. Sittig Technologies works closely with MKJ Communications to ensure a smooth deployment and reliable long-term operation.
